It is a miracle to be born again. Most Christians do not realize they are walking miracles! This means everything about the life of a narrow road follower of Jesus is divinely influenced and radically changed. It is important to compare your past without Christ in contrast to your present life with the Holy Spirit indwelling you. You must understand the powerful life you have been given!<\/span><\/p>\n

Philippians 3:13-14 “<\/span>No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing:\u00a0Forgetting<\/b> the past<\/strong> and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”<\/p>\n

\"\"Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit: <\/span><\/b>you were a slave to sin, Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit: <\/b>free from sin\u2019s power<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 6:6-7 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

6\u00a0\u00a0We know that our\u00a0old sinful\u00a0selves\u00a0were<\/b>\u00a0crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are\u00a0no longer slaves to sin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

7\u00a0\u00a0For when we died with Christ we were\u00a0set free from the power of sin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> sin ruled over you because the Law of God could not free us, Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>you are living in freedom empowered by God\u2019s grace<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 6:12-14 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

12\u00a0\u00a0Do not let sin control<\/strong> the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.<\/p>\n

13\u00a0\u00a0Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you\u00a0were<\/strong>\u00a0dead,\u00a0but now<\/strong>\u00a0you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to\u00a0do what is right<\/strong>\u00a0for the glory of God.<\/p>\n

Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you were enslaved to endless sinning, Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0you now are slaves to wholehearted obedience<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 6:17-18 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

17\u00a0\u00a0Thank God!\u00a0Once<\/i><\/b>\u00a0you were<\/strong> slaves of sin, but\u00a0now<\/i><\/b>\u00a0you\u00a0wholeheartedly obey<\/strong>\u00a0this teaching we have given you.<\/p>\n

18\u00a0\u00a0Now<\/strong>\u00a0you are\u00a0free<\/strong>\u00a0from your slavery to sin, and you have become\u00a0slaves to righteous living<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you used to know the Law of God and His will but you were without the power to obey God, Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b>\u00a0now you are united with Christ through a spiritual conversion producing good deeds<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 7:4-6 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

4\u00a0\u00a0So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You\u00a0died<\/span> to the power<\/b>\u00a0of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are\u00a0united<\/span> with the one who was raised from the dead<\/b>. As a result,\u00a0we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God.<\/b><\/p>\n

Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you were controlled by the old nature, sinful desires, and sinful deeds<\/span><\/p>\n

5\u00a0\u00a0When we\u00a0were<\/span> controlled by our old nature<\/b>, sinful desires\u00a0were<\/b>\u00a0at work within us, and the\u00a0law aroused these evil desires<\/b>\u00a0that\u00a0produced<\/b>\u00a0a harvest of\u00a0sinful deeds<\/b>, resulting in death.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you now and forever are released and free from the law\u2019s power of guilt, we have the supernatural power to serve God in a new way of living by the rushing flood of righteousness of the Holy Spirit inside us.<\/span><\/p>\n

6\u00a0\u00a0But now<\/b>\u00a0we have been released from the law, for we\u00a0died to it<\/b>\u00a0and are\u00a0no longer captive to its power.<\/b>\u00a0Now\u00a0we can serve God<\/b>, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the\u00a0new way of living in the Spirit.<\/b><\/p>\n

Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you were broken and even though you wanted to do what was right you were\u00a0 enslaved to sin by human (sinful) nature<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 7:25 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

25\u00a0\u00a0Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind\u00a0I really want to obey<\/b>\u00a0God\u2019s law,\u00a0but<\/b>\u00a0because of my\u00a0sinful nature I am a slave to sin<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> Now you have nothing to be condemned for because you belong to Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit frees you from the control of sin<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 8:1-3 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

1\u00a0\u00a0So\u00a0now<\/b><\/span>\u00a0there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n

2\u00a0\u00a0And\u00a0because you belong to him<\/b>, the\u00a0power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin<\/b>\u00a0that leads to death.<\/p>\n

3\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0law<\/b>\u00a0of Moses was\u00a0unable to save<\/b>\u00a0us because of the\u00a0weakness of our sinful nature<\/b>. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body\u00a0God declared an end to sin\u2019s control over us<\/b>\u00a0by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.<\/p>\n

Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you were overwhelmed and dominated by the sinful nature, even your mind was flooded with thoughts focused on sinful things, you were actually hostile to God, never faithfully obeyed God\u2019s laws, and never pleased God.<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 8:5-8 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

5\u00a0\u00a0Those who are\u00a0dominated by the sinful nature<\/b>\u00a0think<\/b>\u00a0about\u00a0sinful things<\/b>, but those who are controlled<\/strong> by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.<\/p>\n

6\u00a0\u00a0So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.<\/p>\n

7\u00a0\u00a0For the sinful nature is always\u00a0hostile to God<\/b>. It\u00a0never did obey God\u2019s laws<\/b>, and it never will.<\/p>\n

8\u00a0\u00a0That\u2019s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature\u00a0can never please God<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you no longer follow your sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 8:3b-4 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2026 And in that body God declared an\u00a0end to sin\u2019s control<\/b>\u00a0over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.<\/p>\n

4\u00a0\u00a0He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us,\u00a0who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.<\/b><\/p>\n

Your Past Without<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you were spiritually dead by disobedience and many sins, living a life of constant sin like everyone else, controlled by the devil, driven by the forbidden longings of the sinful nature, refusing to obey God<\/span><\/p>\n

Ephesians 2:1-3 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

1\u00a0\u00a0Once<\/b>\u00a0you\u00a0were dead<\/b>\u00a0because of your\u00a0disobedience and your many sins<\/b>.<\/p>\n

2\u00a0\u00a0You\u00a0used to live in sin<\/b>, just like the rest of the world,\u00a0obeying the devil<\/b>\u2014the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the\u00a0spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.<\/b><\/p>\n

3\u00a0\u00a0All of us\u00a0used to live that way<\/b>, following the\u00a0passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature<\/b>. By our very\u00a0nature<\/b>\u00a0we were subject to God\u2019s anger, just like everyone else.<\/p>\n

Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you are totally free and not controlled by the sinful nature, but controlled by the Spirit if He is really inside you<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 8:9 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

9\u00a0\u00a0But\u00a0you are not controlled by your sinful nature.<\/b>\u00a0You\u00a0are<\/b>\u00a0controlled by the Spirit\u00a0if\u00a0<\/b>you have the Spirit of God living in you.<\/b>\u00a0(And remember that\u00a0those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.<\/b>)<\/p>\n

Your Present With<\/span> The Holy Spirit:<\/b> you are led by the Holy Spirit and you kill the deeds of your sinful nature, you must understand only real Christians have this power<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 8:12-14 (NLT)<\/b><\/p>\n

12\u00a0\u00a0Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have\u00a0no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges<\/b>\u00a0you to do.<\/p>\n

13\u00a0\u00a0For if you\u00a0live by its dictates, you will die<\/b>. But if\u00a0through the power of the Spirit<\/b>\u00a0you put to\u00a0death the deeds of your sinful nature<\/b>, you will live.<\/p>\n

14\u00a0\u00a0For\u00a0all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.<\/b><\/p>\n
