Everyone is born with a stubborn heart of disobedience. Children are open to all kinds of deception and temptations because they are without discernment<\/u><\/strong> [Proverbs 7:7<\/strong> \u201cAnd saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, A young man devoid of understanding.\u201d] From children to old men, wisdom is missing across our nation.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Simple Fool<\/u><\/strong>:<\/span> pethiy [Hebrew: peth \u2013 EE] extreme vulnerability, na\u00efve, to be opened up<\/p>\n

Proverbs 22:15 \u201c<\/strong>Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him.\u201d (NKJ)<\/span><\/p>\n

All children are dangerously immature, gullible, and curious.<\/p>\n

Kids are shortsighted and cannot see the cause and effect sequences of life [Proverbs 22:3<\/strong> \u201cA prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Without instruction the simple fool will quickly fall to greater foolishness<\/strong> [Proverbs 19:25<\/strong> \u201cStrike a scoffer, and the simple will become wary; Rebuke one who has understanding, and he will discern knowledge.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Without the gospel and the instruction of what is right and wrong<\/strong> children grow up into a deeper state of foolishness. The path they take to adulthood is the road to a hardened heart of rebellion against God. Wise parents teach right from wrong. With the 10 commandments as the foundation, right from wrong is taught, reinforced, and correction made to show the wisdom of God\u2019s righteous standards.<\/p>\n

Hebrews 5:14, <\/b>6:1 <\/b>(NLT2) <\/b>\u201cSolid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong<\/strong>. So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don\u2019t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God<\/strong>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Until repentance comes, the consequences of sin must be taught and practiced by the parents to make sure their kids do not fall deeper into the depths of foolishness. Parents must punish disobedience and reward submission to authority.\u00a0 Kids must learn to hate evil. Proverbs 8:13 (NLT2) <\/b>states, \u201c<\/sup>All who fear the LORD will hate evil<\/strong>. Therefore, I hate pride<\/strong> and arrogance<\/strong>, corruption<\/strong> and perverse speech<\/strong>.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Galatians 3:23-26 (NKJV) <\/b>teaches, \u201cBut before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us<\/i> to Christ<\/strong>, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Silly Fool<\/u><\/strong>:<\/span> eviyl [Hebrew: ev \u2013 EEL] one who morally missed the mark, to be thick [like thickheaded or stupid], insolent and twisted<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Tweens and teens find sin grows and leads to defiance to authority, which leads to conflict and stupidity. Ignorant of the consequences of their actions they suffer hurt and destroy their own hearts. [Proverbs 10:21<\/strong> \u201cThe lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Because they reject parental authority<\/u><\/strong> but are curious and hungry for acceptance, they violate their moral purity. [Proverbs 1:7<\/strong> \u201cThe fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction\u201d; 7:22<\/strong> \u201cImmediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,\u201d]<\/p>\n

Wrong relationships and immorality ruin their souls. Now severely broken, locked in the prison of sin deepens the slavery of their lives and opens them up to stupid solutions to try to ease the pain of their hearts.<\/p>\n

Romans 1:18-21 (NKJV) <\/b>“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness<\/strong>, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it<\/i> to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes<\/i> are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even<\/i> His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him<\/i> as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Their mouth and attitude of speech get them into trouble [Proverbs 10:14<\/strong> \u201cWise people store up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction\u201d; 20:3<\/strong> \u201cIt is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel.\u201d]<\/p>\n

When things go wrong in their way, they get angry, which causes more problems [Proverbs 27:3<\/strong> \u201cA stone is heavy and sand is weighty, But a fool\u2019s wrath is heavier than both of them.\u201d]<\/p>\n

They think their way of thinking is right<\/u><\/strong>, which leaves only punishment that will change them [Proverbs 18:2<\/strong> \u201cA fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart\u201d; 29:9<\/strong> \u201cIf a wise man contends with a foolish man, Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Sensual Fool<\/u><\/strong>:<\/span> keciyl [Hebrew: kess \u2013 EEL] to be fat; to be sluggish, thick, dull, or obstinate; a bent for doing wrong<\/p>\n

\"\"The person who continues to refuse correction from authorities<\/u><\/strong> or reacts and fights against it will become a sensual fool [Proverbs 17:25<\/strong> \u201cA foolish son is a grief to his father, And bitterness to her who bore him\u201d; 23:9<\/strong> \u201cDo not speak in the hearing of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Every sensual fool has a strong unreasonable bent for making wrong choices<\/u><\/strong> and his motives and methods are subtle, dangerously influencing silly fools [Proverbs 17:25<\/strong> \u201cA foolish son is a grief to his father<\/strong>, And bitterness to her who bore him<\/strong>\u201d; 18:6-7<\/strong> (NLT2)<\/strong> “Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels<\/strong>; they are asking for a beating<\/strong>.<\/span> The mouths of fools are their ruin<\/strong>; they trap themselves with their lips.”;<\/span><\/span> 13:20<\/strong> \u201cHe who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.\u201d]<\/p>\n

This is not a mental problem but\u00a0they reject God\u2019s wisdom<\/u><\/strong> and arrogantly take the path of immediate pleasure [Proverbs 10:23 (NLT2)<\/strong> \u201cDoing wrong is fun for a fool<\/strong>, but living wisely brings pleasure to the sensible.<\/span>\u201d; 13:19-21 (NLT2)<\/strong> \u201cIt is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them<\/strong>.<\/span> Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble<\/strong>.<\/span> Trouble chases sinners, while blessings reward the righteous<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u201d]<\/p>\n

They glory in what they should be ashamed of<\/u><\/strong> and appear to be successful [Proverbs 1:32 (NCV) <\/b>\u201cFools will die because they refuse to listen<\/strong>; they will be destroyed because they do not care<\/strong>.<\/span>\u201d]<\/p>\n

Romans1:21-25 (NKJ)<\/strong> “Professing to be wise, they became fools<\/strong>, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man–and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves<\/strong>, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”<\/p>\n

Only strong severe punishment will change a sensual fool [Proverbs 19:29<\/strong> \u201cJudgments are prepared for scoffers, And beatings for the backs of fools.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Proverbs 19:26-29 (NLT2) <\/b>
\n26 <\/sup>\u00a0Children who mistreat their father or chase away their mother are an embarrassment and a public disgrace.<\/span>
\n27 <\/sup>\u00a0If you stop listening to instruction, my child, you will turn your back on knowledge.<\/span>
\n28 <\/sup>\u00a0A corrupt witness makes a mockery of justice; the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil.<\/span>
\n29 <\/sup>\u00a0Punishment is made for mockers, and the backs of fools are made to be beaten.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Scorning Fool<\/u><\/strong><\/span>: luwts [Hebrew: LOOTS] to make mouths at; using facial expressions to show disdain and contempt; mimic<\/p>\n

\"\"The scorner rejects truth and embraces that which God calls an abomination<\/u> and enjoys himself [Proverbs 1:22<\/strong> \u201cHow long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Romans 1:26-28 (NLT2) <\/b>“That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires<\/strong>. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking<\/strong> and let them do things that should never be done” <\/span><\/p>\n

They will show abhorrence toward anyone and any ideas that contradict them.<\/p>\n

Through attitudes, speech, and behavior they will show their disdain.<\/p>\n

The scorning fool mimics, mocks, and ridicules godly people and authorities<\/u> [by Heb word definition]<\/p>\n

The scorner cannot respond to or understand God\u2019s wisdom<\/u> [Proverbs 13:1<\/strong> \u201cA wise son heeds his father\u2019s instruction, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke\u201d; 14:6<\/strong> \u201cA scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, But knowledge is easy to him who understands.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Anyone they do not think has authority over them will severely pay for trying to correct them<\/u> [Proverbs 9:7-8<\/strong> \u201cHe who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you\u201d; 15:12<\/strong> \u201cA scoffer does not love one who corrects him, Nor will he go to the wise.\u201d]<\/p>\n

This type of person must be disciplined and removed from others [Proverbs 19:25<\/strong> \u201cStrike a scoffer, and the simple will become wary; Rebuke one who has understanding, and he will discern knowledge\u201d; 21:11<\/strong> \u201cWhen the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise; But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge\u201d; 22:10<\/strong> \u201cCast out the scoffer, and contention will leave; Yes, strife and reproach will cease.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Steadfast Fool<\/u><\/strong><\/span>: nabal [Hebrew: naw \u2013 BAWL] stupid and wicked; to wilt; to fall away; to fail; to faint<\/p>\n

\"\"This morally wicked person has disgraced their family and anyone who tried to help them. [Psalm 14:1<\/strong> \u201cThe fool has said in his heart, \u201cThere is no God<\/strong>.\u201d They are corrupt<\/strong>, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good\u201d; Proverbs 17:21<\/strong> \u201cHe who begets a scoffer does so to his sorrow, And the father of a fool has no joy.\u201d]<\/p>\n

Romans 1:29-32 (NLT2) <\/b>“Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness<\/strong>, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God\u2019s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.”<\/p>\n

Prison is full of angry steadfast fools being punished for their wickedness.<\/p>\n

He is self confident and completely closed minded<\/u><\/strong> [1 Samuel 25:17<\/strong>, Nabal would not listen to anyone]<\/p>\n

Completely committed to<\/u><\/strong> their own \u201cgodhood\u201d and self gratification, and dragging down as many with him as they can<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

[Philippians 3:17-19<\/strong> \u201cBrethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. [18] For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ<\/strong>: [19] whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame\u2013who set their mind on earthly things<\/strong>\u201d; Jude 4, 12 \u201cFor certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness<\/strong> and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. [12] These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves<\/strong>. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;\u201d]<\/p>\n

Some will<\/u> slip into churches<\/strong> and befriend good families to destroy them<\/u><\/strong> [Jude 4, 12; 2 Tim 3:2-6<\/strong> \u201cFor men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, [4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! [6] For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,\u201d]<\/p>\n

Trying to help a steadfast fool will only bring you grief,<\/u><\/strong> only God can deal with them<\/strong> [1 Corinthians 5:1-5<\/strong> \u201cIt is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles\u2013that a man has his father\u2019s wife! [2] And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. [3] For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. [4] In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, [5] deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh<\/strong>, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus\u201d; 1 Tim 1:18-20 \u201cThis charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, [19] having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, [20] of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme<\/strong>.\u201d]<\/p>\n

The only solution is a new heart and new spirit which is a miracle given to all people who admit their sin and receive God\u2019s forgiveness.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\n13 <\/sup>\u00a0If you are wise and understand God\u2019s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom<\/strong>.
\n14 <\/sup>\u00a0But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart<\/strong>, don\u2019t cover up the truth with boasting and lying.
\n15 <\/sup>\u00a0For jealousy and selfishness are not God\u2019s kind of wisdom<\/strong>. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.<\/strong>
\n16 <\/sup>\u00a0For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind<\/strong>.
\n17 <\/sup>\u00a0But the wisdom<\/strong> from above is first of all pure<\/strong>. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.<\/strong>
\n18 <\/sup>\u00a0And those who are peacemakers<\/strong> will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
