\"\"Many American Christians are \u201cfloating believers,\u201d uncommitted people claiming to be Christians but not willing to cement themselves to a local family of Christians, and roll up their sleeves and obey God. Instead they hop from one local church to another without identity<\/strong>, accountability<\/strong>, or commitment<\/strong>. They have not learned that Christianity is not just believing, it includes belonging. The rampant sin of American culture, rugged individualism, refuses to commit and stay in marriage, forgets to stick to commitments, and will not take responsibility and join anything, let alone the church.<\/p>\n

But we grow spiritually by being in relationship to other Christians! Romans 12:10<\/strong> says, \u201cBe devoted to one another in brotherly love.\u201d (Please read <\/i>Are we really, Biblically, personally following Jesus? Like a basketball player without a team, a soldier without a fighting unit, a drummer without a band, and a child without a family\u2014a Christian without a local church is unproductive, disconnected, and a spiritual weakling. 1 Timothy 3:15 [NCV]<\/strong> states, \u201c\u2026 the family of God. That family is the church of the living God, the support and foundation of the truth.\u201d<\/i> A Christian without an active membership in a local church is an orphan!<\/p>\n

Church is not an institution, instead it is the family and the local active community of the living God. Isolationism is wrong for a true born again believer. \u201cFirst they gave themselves to the Lord; and then, by God\u2019s will, they gave themselves to us as well<\/strong>.\u201d 2 Corinthians 8:5 [GNB]<\/strong> Jesus taught that the mark of love for one another, was the evidence for love to Him [John 13:34-35<\/strong>].<\/p>\n
